Guided by the organization’s mission to promote self-esteem, civility, leadership, and community service, the Board provides strategic leadership, governance, and unwavering support to ensure the long-term impact of Leading Ladies 4 Life. Through their collective expertise, passion, and service, Board members help create opportunities, strengthen programs, and champion a vision where every young lady is empowered to lead with confidence, compassion, and purpose.

Sabrina L. Humphries, Founder/Executive Director

Sabrina is the founder/executive director and a group facilitator of Leading Ladies 4 Life, Inc.  Sabrina holds a Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and a Master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Cleveland State University. Having faced self-doubt as a teen, Sabrina recognized similar struggles in the youth around her. Driven by a desire to empower girls, she established Leading Ladies to help young girls and teens to embrace their worth and reach their full potential. Guided by Gandhi’s philosophy, “You must be the change you want to see in the world,” Sabrina combines her experience as an educator with her personal insights as a wife, mother of two daughters, two sons and grandmother of three granddaughters, to address the diverse needs of today’s girls. Passionate about community, family, and personal growth, she enjoys cooking, traveling, entertaining and gardening, and is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Kimberly Springer, M.Ed, Board Chair

Kimberly is a dynamic higher education professional and equity-minded leader committed to cultivating inclusive excellence and empowering women of color in leadership. As the Assistant Dean of Intercultural Engagement at Oberlin College and Conservatory, she brings extensive experience in designing transformative learning environments, facilitating dialogue across difference, and advancing institutional diversity initiatives. Her professional portfolio includes leading campus-wide trainings, developing strategic partnerships, and assessing programmatic impact to foster belonging and student success.

Through her involvement with Leading Ladies, Kimberly extends her passion beyond campus, mentoring and uplifting emerging women leaders while creating spaces rooted in authenticity, accountability, and collective growth. She is especially dedicated to supporting Black women in navigating professional spaces with confidence and clarity. Grounded in both scholarship and practice, Kimberly’s leadership reflects a deep commitment to advocacy, community-building, and preparing the next generation of change-makers to lead with purpose.

Joia Humphries, Vice Chair

Joia is a dedicated professional and community-minded leader who brings compassion, discipline, and a heart for service to the Board of Directors of Leading Ladies 4 Life. She currently serves as a 911 operator, where she demonstrates calmness under pressure and a deep commitment to helping others in critical moments. Joia’s background in preschool education reflects her passion for early childhood development and nurturing young minds, while her experience as a cheer coach highlights her ability to motivate, mentor, and build confidence in youth.

A proud and devoted mother to her 8-year-old daughter, Joia is deeply family-oriented and values strong connections and support systems. She also enjoys traveling and exploring new cultures, which broadens her perspective and enriches her approach to leadership. Currently on a personal fitness journey, Joia is committed to living a healthier lifestyle and inspiring others to prioritize their well-being.

Vicki Dansby, Secretary

Vicki is a dynamic marketing strategist, event producer, and communityleader, serving as Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of Marketing, Projects & Events for Imagine That . . . Entertainment & Event Management, with divisions in Cleveland, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. With a strong foundation from her work at FOX 8 TV and as one of the original marketing team members for the NFL Cleveland Browns Trust, Vicki brings extensive experience in marketing, public relations, and project management across nonprofit, municipal, and entertainment sectors.

Vicki proudly serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors for Leading Ladies 4 Life, where she plays a critical role in maintaining organizational excellence through effective communication, documentation, and strategic support. Her leadership helps strengthen the organization’s mission of empowering girls. She is also a devoted “Bonus Mom” to twins, Maleke and Maleah, and a proud “Cat Mom” to Biggie and Smalls, balancing professional success with a heart for family and community.

Melissa Walls, Treasurer

Melissa is a dedicated community leader and creative professional who is passionate about service, mentorship, and the arts. A proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., she actively supports her community through sorority initiatives and long-standing involvement with the PTA, where she has served in multiple leadership roles, including co‑president of her local council. Since her children were in elementary school, Melissa has played an influential role in guiding young ladies through Leading Ladies 4 Life, helping empower the next generation.

A committed wife and mother of three adult children, Melissa values family deeply and nurtures strong connections despite distances. Creativity is central to who she is—she loves computer graphics, visiting art museums, and attending plays, musicals, and art festivals. Her appreciation for the arts fuels her belief in creativity’s power to inspire, connect, and uplift. Grounded in service, leadership, and creativity, Melissa strives to make a meaningful impact in every space she enters.

Latonya Cantie, Beautiful Flowers Facilitator

Latonya is a passionate educator, cheer coach, mentor, and community leader dedicated to empowering youth and strengthening families. With a strong background in elementary education, she is committed to creating engaging, supportive learning environments that help students thrive academically and socially. Latonya is known for her creativity in the classroom, her ability to connect with children, and her dedication to helping every child reach their full potential.

In addition to her work in education, she serves as a cheer coach, helping young athletes build confidence, discipline, and teamwork both on and off the field. Latonya also serves as a Board of Directors member for Leading Ladies 4 Life, where she uplifts and inspires women and girls through mentorship, leadership development, and community outreach.

She leads with purpose, heart, and a deep commitment to making a lasting impact.

Laura B. Hendricks, M.Ed, Teen Facilitator

Laura is a retired Special Education teacher with a distinguished career dedicated to youth development. As a past National Board Certified and Master Teacher, she brings deep expertise and passion to her work. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Ohio University and a master’s in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Emerging Adolescence from Cleveland State University.

A founding Board member of Leading Ladies 4 Life, Inc., Laura has also served as a Teen Leader, mentoring girls in grades 7–12 on topics such as self-esteem, leadership, responsibility, and community service. She believes strongly in the power of mentorship, guided by her belief that “it takes a village to raise a child.”

Known for calling her students “Hendricks’ Kids,” she maintains lasting bonds with them. After teaching in several districts, she retired in June 2025. Laura enjoys traveling, reading, dancing, family time, and is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Andrea Graham-Boyd, Fund Development

Andrea is a dedicated educator and advocate who brings over 30 years of teaching experience to the Leading Ladies 4 Life Board of Directors. She spent the first 20 years of her career with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and concluded her service with Warrensville Heights City School District, leaving a lasting impact on countless students and families. Now retired, Andrea continues her commitment to education and youth empowerment through service and mentorship.

She is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., where she aligns her passion for community service with meaningful outreach efforts. Deeply committed to the advancement of African American youth, Andrea believes in the power of representation and opportunity. Guided by her philosophy, “If our children cannot see it, they cannot be it,” she strives to inspire, uplift, and empower the next generation to realize their full potential.

Nicole Lewis, Fund Development

Nicole is a dedicated leader, educator, and community advocate with a passion for service and empowerment. As a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, she exemplifies the organization’s commitment to scholarship, sisterhood, and service through her continued involvement and leadership.

With 17 years of experience as an educator at the Cleveland Job Corps Center, Nicole has made a lasting impact on the lives of countless students, equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to succeed both professionally and personally. Her commitment to youth development extends beyond the classroom through her 7-year involvement with Leading Ladies 4 Life, Inc. where she has served as both a mentor and now a valued member of the Board of Directors, helping to guide and inspire the next generation of young women.

Nicole finds joy in spending quality time with her family and exploring new destinations through travel. She is a devoted wife of 10 years to Bruce Lewis and a proud mother of two, Kennedi Jackson-Washington and Deion Jackson-Washington. Nicole’s life reflects a balance of service, leadership, and love for family.

Michele Baker, M.Ed, Programming

Michele is a dedicated educator with over 40 years of experience, bringing a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and leadership to every space she serves. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Cleveland State University, building a strong foundation for her lifelong commitment to education and student development. As a founding member of the Board of Directors of Leading Ladies 4 Life, Michele is deeply passionate about shaping and empowering the next generation of young women. She consistently uses her skills and talents to uplift both youth and adults, creating meaningful opportunities for growth and connection.

A proud mother of two and grandmother of five, Michele understands the evolving challenges within her community and the importance of balancing academic, family, and socio-emotional needs. She is committed to fostering positive, supportive environments. In her free time, Michele enjoys family gatherings, gardening, decorating, and engaging in creative craft projects.

Tia Singer, Programming

Tia is a dedicated healthcare professional in training and community leader committed to empowering women and improving lives. As a Board of Directors member of Leading Ladies 4 Life, she helps guide programs that uplift, mentor, and support women and families through education, service, and advocacy. Tia is currently pursuing a career in nursing, where she focuses on compassionate, patient-centered care, with particular interest in supporting vulnerable and aging populations. Her academic work includes developing care plans, medication education, and health presentations that translate evidence-based practice into real-world impact. Known for her resilience, faith, and service-driven mindset, Tia strives to bridge the gap between community needs and quality healthcare. Whether in the classroom, clinical setting, or community space, she leads with integrity, purpose, and a passion for helping others thrive. She is passionate about lifelong learning, mentorship, and creating opportunities that inspire confidence, leadership, and sustainable personal and professional growth.

Sabrina is a dedicated public servant, entrepreneur, and community leader committed to uplifting families and empowering young girls. In her role within the public sector, she works tirelessly to connect individuals and families with housing and essential resources, helping to create stability and opportunity. As a member of the Board of Directors for Leading Ladies 4 Life, Sabrina brings energy, creativity, and passion to every initiative she supports.

A proud mother of two, Sabrina is deeply invested in building strong family connections. She is a facilitator of Beautiful Flowers Forever, a mother-daughter group designed to strengthen bonds and nurture confidence in young girls. In addition to her community work, she is a small business owner with a love for event planning and design. Sabrina also shares her talents through cheerleading choreography, inspiring youth through creativity, movement, and mentorship.
