At Leading Ladies 4 Life, we believe every young girl has the power to bloom into a confident, compassionate, and resilient woman. Since 1997, we’ve walked alongside girls and their families in Greater Cleveland, nurturing leadership, self-esteem, and a sense of purpose.
Through mentorship, small groups, and community-driven programs, we help girls navigate life’s challenges with grace and strength. Together, we’re creating a village where girls—and the women who love them—thrive.
Our Mission
The mission of Leading Ladies 4 Life is to aid young ladies in the development of positive and powerful attitudes that will guide them into becoming resourceful and resilient adults. Through self-esteem, civility and community outreach activities, members of Leading Ladies, Inc. are a part of a powerful network of girls and women with a shared commitment to the personal and cultural advancement of females. Leading Ladies seek to empower ladies of all ages through strategies and relationships that lead to the development of leadership, service and social opportunities. Ultimately, Leading Ladies will recognize that they have the power to make positive choices in their lives.

Our Story
What started as a small group for middle school girls at Sunbeam School in 1997 has blossomed into a multifaceted empowerment network.
Founded by an educator who saw a need for safe spaces and positive role models, Leading Ladies has grown from library meetings and community rooms to a vibrant organization serving girls ages 7 to adulthood.
We are proud to be the only empowerment group in Greater Cleveland designed not only for preteens and teens but also for enhancing mother-daughter relationships and supporting caregivers through our Parent Advisory Team.
Today, Leading Ladies 4 Life operates school-based groups, 1:1 mentoring, weekend workshops, and community events—all grounded in our belief that mind, body, and spirit must be nurtured to grow strong leaders. We are a TRIPLE THREAT because we address:
- Self-esteem
- Civility
- Service
And we’re just getting started.
Our Impact
In Cleveland and its surrounding suburbs, girls face staggering challenges:
Half of young people live in poverty.
42% of girls in grades 1–3 already worry about their weight.
80% of teens feel appearance matters more than character.
100% of the girls who participated in Leading Ladies (2009-2025) for 2 or more years have graduated from high school, with 80% going on to higher education.
